Add an existing Standard ERP server to an existing Cloud Node
- • This instruction will assist you in adding an existing Standard ERP installation to a Cloud Node exists and is reachable from MyStandard.
- • The steps described in this document has been specifically designed to avoid restarts of the Standard ERP server. Users should not notice any interruptions to their work in Standard ERP.
- • This instruction assume that the Standard ERP system has a valid enabler, and is correctly set up in system settings. Specifically, this instruction will not work with Sample Data.
- • Understanding of, and access rights to, the Technics module is required.
- 1. Download this HAL file and place it in the "halpatch" folder of your Standard ERP server.
NOTE: Ensure that no other Cloud Node related files exist in the "halpatch" folder.
- 2. Edit the HAL file according to the instructions at the top of the file.
- 3. Run Modules>Technics>Routines>Maintenance>Recompile HAL Files,
- 4. Log in to MyStandard using the first StandardID added to the HAL file, and search for/click on a server that is being handled by the existing Cloud Node. Select the server so that its server details is shown.
NOTE: the next step will fail if MyStandard reports "Node is not reachable". The server will not have the access rights configured for the StandardIDs listed in the HAL file in this situation.
- 5. Run Modules>Technics>Registers>Program Mode>Operations>Setup Cloud Node.
- You will get message windows when the process is completed (this normally happens immediately).
- 6. Add the parameter "--client-uuid=xxxx" as described in the message in step #5 to all clients that connect to this server.
- 7. Restart the server on MyStandard.
- Clients will now be able to connect.
