Cloud Node Recovery
- • This instruction will assist you in recovering the Cloud Node, and enable management of a Standard ERP server through MyStandard.
- • The steps described in this document has been specifically designed to avoid restarts of the Standard ERP server. Users should not notice any interruptions to their work in Standard ERP.
- • This instruction assume that the Standard ERP system has a valid enabler, and is correctly set up in system settings. Specifically, this instruction will not work with Sample Data.
- • Understanding of, and access rights to the Technics module is required.
- 1. Download this HAL file and place it unmodified in the "halpatch" folder of your Standard ERP server.
- Create the "halpatch" folder if it does not exist.
NOTE: Ensure that no other Cloud Node related files exist in the "halpatch" folder.
- 2. Run Modules>Technics>Routines>Maintenance>Recompile HAL Files
- 3. Ensure that the pre-existing "cloudnode" folder is not locked by closing any windows, including terminal windows, that might be viewing it.
- 4. Run Modules>Technics>Registers>Program Mode>Operations>Setup Cloud Node.
- You will get message windows when the process is started (this may take a minute) and when it is completed (this can take a few minutes to several hours depending on your network transfer speed).
ⓘ Note (Linux ONLY):
When Cloud Node is running, it may restart several times on its own. This is normal behavior and not a bug; these restarts do not affect the Standard ERP servers managed by Cloud Node.
During these events it is NECESSARY to ensure that:
1) The Standard ERP system is NOT started or stopped by any other software or OS configuration
2) The 'hansa-cloudnode' executable is started automatically when it is not running, preferrably through systemd.
