Hi Paul,

BackgroundHALShouldPause is a Boolean function with no arguments.
- False: keep working.
- True: finish the current item safely and exit the routine.
It tells a background HAL routine that the engine wants background work to finish so it can perform an operation such as recompiling HAL, reconnecting, or installing a localization package. The function only tells to stop, it doesn’t stop your code itself. You can use this check inside a long background task, between processing records.

Hope this helps.
