Bar Tabs Live sync

We've noticed that modules>>Restaurant>>Registers>>Bar Tabs have the same indicator as POS invoices at the bottom left of the screen where you can see whether the client is online/offline.
Does this mean that a live sync client can also be used to create bar tabs when the connection to the server is down?
