GATE is the external gateway user, however the external gateway cannot be run on the linux machine as said previously. In this case I ran the external gateway on the windows machine with the server on the linux. Disabling the external gw via system>>settings>>optional features and sending the same email with an internal gateway worked with no crash. Any solutions for this?
