The cookie timeout is often too low and the cookie expires before finishing the message. It would be nice if there could be warning message something like "your session will expire in 5 minutes, click 'continue' to extend..." (like in the Swedbank online banking)

I agree and confirm that I had same problem writing a message. Is is possible to make it optional , so that I could set up timeout on my account setting?

Another idea: if the timeout occurs, then allow the user to post the message without reentering it after logging in.
