Has anyone experience this :

If you choose media pdf the document comes out blank.

Yes, this is fixed in the next version, it's not been released yet. Some people including myself are experiencing similar issues with sending reports to PDF, but other Windows users are not. We are yet to find out what's causing this different behaviour.
