Main key longer than 20 chars
Aldevinas Katkus

Operating system: macOS
Can we have item codes longer than 20 chars, e.g., 30 chars. We can do that by register redefinition in HAL. Will they index correctly?

Hi Aldevinas,
Increasing length of a string field (in this case it is M4Code) is OK to do.
Best Regards,
David D.

If ArtCode is increased in INVc definition to more than 20 characters, I presume it must be changed to the same length in every other register which has an item field?

Hi Paul,
This is correct. It is very big change so I would personally advise against it.
Best Regards,
David D.
