App Message on new version
10-30-25
Operating system: Windows
Hi there,
We are looking at a new version for our customers – version 2025-09-08. We have setup a test server and then login to this from a client machine, these are Windows 11 client machines.
When we login from the client we are getting a message that says “your client is downloading components” but it never completes. We also get a message that says “This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page”.

We’ve tried a proper client installation using the MSI and then tried associating the executable file with the SERP App but we cannot do this as it doesn’t seem to allow it.
On previous versions we have just copied an installation folder from one machine to another without the need for a “proper installation”. We would like to do the same on this new version.
Can you tell us how to stop these 2 messages from popping up everyday when we open this new version of Standard ERP please, preferably without having to go through an MSI installation on every client machine.

Thanks

Best wishes

Dave

Hi again, do we know what it's trying to download, if we download it, it may make the message go away?

Thanks

These components are for the notification system inside standard erp ( for messages and such, for example Meet )
