I am getting occasional system crashes when my customer is oking an invoice. Version 8.1 2016-03-31

It happens to different people. Can go days without any issues. So very hard to track the cause.
Here is a snippet from the Hansa log. Same message all the time just the user initials differ.

Please can anyone advise what this may be?

Hello,

This is a problem that should be repeated in a later version.
It could be either a bug in the version or an error in halcust.

I have no idea how to replicate this because this is an intermittent problem. Can go for days without any issue.

If it is a halcust issue can you suggest some techniques that could help me isolate the problem?

Number one thing to attempt is to see if it happens in the latest version released.

This is still occasionally happening. Have upgraded at least a couple of times since my original post.

However, I might have found that it is linked to creating an invoice from the delivery window. When you create an invoice from a delivery it opens up the invoice window but it doesn't seem to save the record. Although it retrieves next number.

If my customer ticks the ok box and presses save rather than saving first before oking we seem to get this error.


Anything anyone can add would be appreciated

Hi Lee,

We had a similar issue with a customer where the invoice number was "taken" by another user raising the invoice and led to the record links being incorrect because another invoice number had to be selected.

We solved this by saving the invoice when it is created.
