Queued Fifo cost model

Hi

is anyone able to give suggestions do's and don'ts when moving from simple item cost set up to a Queued cost model with Chronology forced? Customer does not want full cost accounting just the ability to track cost movements more accurately. Rather than just using the weighted average or cost on item register I believe queued with FIFO will be ok for them.

Would appreciate anyone that has experience doing this to share how best to implement this.

SERP 8.1 at the moment.

Thanks

Hello.

Can you please give us more information:
- how system currently is set up at customer (what do you mean by simple item cost)
- what is exactly customer problem with accuracy of stock movement?

Just to mention - if you use any of valuation metods you need to follow its rules in full. It can not be partly implemented or used for some documents.

FIFO is the most strict metod and for correct valuation you need to make sure chronology is followed while WA is less painfull, but still ruled.

Agnieszka
