Decimal places on browse and printed documents
9-21-20
Operating system: macOS
v8.5 20-08-13 Build 85343235
Mac server running Catalina
Mac clients running mix of OSs (primarily Mojave)

At some point, browse windows (Orders and Invoices are the important ones) change from displaying numbers normally to displaying numbers with 7 decimal places. Restarting the server clears the problem. The issue happens somewhat randomly, typically once per day.

I saw this problem, first time, back in 2012. Not easy to find/debug.

Jarek wonders whether you should look at execp->langstate for this issue...

Hi Stephen

Please check your halcust and see if there is anything that could be potentially causing this issue.

Try removing the halcust to see if this fixes the problem and then also check execp->langstate as per above

Thank you

I have also seen this a few times a few years, maybe, ago.

Opening the roundings setting and saving the record fixes the issue. No need to restart server.
Not sure what causes the issue, though.
I presents it randomly.

What I've also seen is that it affects all companies in the database once this issue presents itself.
Then you need to open the roundings setting for each company and save the record to fix the issue.

No, the workaround is exactly that, only a workaround. It remains a bug that needs to be addressed

Hi

Has the problem stopped regardless of whether it is a workaround?

Afterwards you get wrong decimals in the system and you have to restart.
