Missing hct error
11-9-20
Operating system: macOS
Customer copies a zipped client to a new machine.

Tries to open the client, gets the message that the hansa.hct file is missing from the hob folder - although it is in the folder. It is possible to run the client by double-clicking the .hdf file, but not from the main application icon.

What's wrong?

Did they extract the zip first? I don't think it's possible to run it directly from inside the zip folder.

Hi Paul

Yes, they extracted from the zip first. This error also happens when you copy a client, whether zipped or not, from one Mac to another. I'm looking at Dejan's latest post, and assuming that this is what is happening.

Hi,

can you please try to reinstall the client from MyStandard or www.standardinstall.com? As you mentioned maybe it's related to MacOS client issue: https://partners.hansaworld.com/forum/viewmessage/13/3376

So the mystandard have gotten a face lift. So when the backup is triggered, thats the time when a "snapshot" is taken from the system and written down to the backup (.TXT file)...
