Date format in imported Sales Orders

Hi

We have an automated import of sales orders that works fine except every 10 to 14 days, we get the issue where the dates on the orders are incorrect. Restarting the server seems to fix this.

There is a number series based on date and these orders end up with the wrong order number and wrong dates. We think the date format is changing from d/m/y to m/d/y.

This is clearly a bug, but there is no way to repeat this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Sanjay,

If this is a bug, we need a bug report, so we could investigate and fix it.

Is this automation done by HAL? Did you have the same issue from the very beginning of using it? What version of SERP is customer using?

Hi Zilvinas,

I am unable to replicate so cannot report. It is intermittent, only happening after a week in some cases. We think it might something to with the StringToDate primitive. We have a solution now where we don't use this primitive which seems to be working.

Is this automation done by HAL?
- Yes

Did you have the same issue from the very beginning of using it?
- The routine was created many years (and versions) ago. Was running fine until we updated.

What version of SERP is customer using?

If you are importing some custom file format with HAL, then use DateFromString().
