JSON

I am sending an area containing JSON using SendWebRequest. The reply from the other system sometimes contains JSON, or if there is an error it may only contain a string of text. When using ParseJSONArea, I can see in hansa.log this message:

json problem: json not starting with '{' or '['

Is there a way in HAL to detect the same? Or is it a matter of checking that the first character in the area is a { or a [ ?

Also in hansa.log is an HTTP response such as the following:

GetOneHttpMessageFromSock: HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Is there a way in HAL to read this HTTP response? If so it would make for better error detection.

Thanks

Paul

I would like to know what BackgroundHALShouldPause does, and how to use it. While it's listed in the HAL Primitives report, it is not used in source code and it doesn't appear in the LMS HAL...
