cannot import file

Our client imports invoices from other system. Suddenly it could not do import anymore - the user get the following message.
SString(1298,"Upload of file to the Server failed, make sure an Attach folder exists");

Why is that?
v. 8.2 windows clients and server.
Import is being done from the client, I tried to import the same file in the single user mode and the import was successful.
