I don't think it crashed because of web request. The server is behind firewall and not accessible from outside. It also crashed in single user mode. I saw this myself.

Sounds like you're talking about REST API. And that your are overwriting data with older values if B managed to read record before A finished to update it. Classic conflict resolution ...
