IMHO, "it is possible to delete HANSA.HDB when the server is running" is a bug (a possibility to loose entire database is a bug) with the crash level severity.
I have reported a wish General>>running with --backup should not create a new HANSA.HDB

Hello! You can mark it as closed as option. If document is connected with other documents you can not delete it so you will not be able to delete PO, as you will not be able to remove Goods receipt...
