Is it all clients?
I have a Hotel that runs on that Version. All windows, on their onsite server. So I doubt it is the version.
Can you send me logs on the Server and Client side?

So when the backup is triggered, thats the time when a "snapshot" is taken from the system and written down to the backup (.TXT file)...
