Excel remains open as a background process

On Windows, if you run a report to Excel, then close Excel, it still runs as a background process. If you've run lots of reports to Excel, your machine will slow down as each Excel process uses up memory.

Excel does not remain running as a background process if it is opened manually, then closed.

Any idea why, when Excel is opened from Standard ERP, then closed, it does not fully close the process?

Hello Paul and thank you for reaching out to us with that.
It definitively looks like a bug. The process should be closed after the export.

Please report the bug and include as much detail you can (ie MS excel version, Service Pack running)

Best Regards
Giuseppe
