Check EU VAT Number Button

Hi there,

Version 2020-01-07 has a "Check EU VAT Number" button on the contacts. We have checked this out and whilst most countries are fine, we have found a handful of countries that always produce an “Invalid” message whereas if the same VAT numbers are checked directly on the website https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/vies/ they produce valid messages – if it’s a valid VAT No obviously – we think the button is referencing an incorrect link for these countries. The countries that produce spurious results are:

AT – Austria
CY – Cyprus
ES – Spain
IE – Ireland
NL – The Netherlands

Could someone take a look at this please?

Hi,
please check that settings in System>>Settings: Number Mask are correct.
That is the setting where to define the rules to check VAT number per country.
