What is the procedure for performing Standard ERP Server functions (stop, start, restart etc.) directly on the server rather than through My Standard?

Customers/partners can send commands only via MyStandard or Standard ERP; Cloud Node always knows the last command and by default it keeps wanted status for connected system as "Running". This means that you can initiate Restarts from Standard ERP and expect Cloud Node to start the ERP automatically, but you cant Stop the server from Standard ERP.

What if My Standard is down, or has lost contact with the cloud node? If the cloud node service is stopped, does it also stop Standard ERP Server?

No it does not. Stopping Cloud Node service will not give stop command to Standard ERP Server
