Procedure for export/import

What is the correct procedure for carrying out an export/import of a database which is connected to the cloudnode? Normally I would stop the system, run the backup command, rename the HDB when the backup is finished, and import the backup. However cloudnode wants to keep starting it back up. I know it can be done by stopping the cloudnode but this removes the MyStandard functionality for other customers connected to the same node.

Hi Paul,

You can stop the server from MyStandard page and then Cloud Node will not be starting it up again.
Then please rename HDB from File Manager (this requires downloading a HDB, renaming and then uploading again), click on List Backups, select the backup and choose Reset to Backup.

unless it has been fixed, the cloud node starts the server again after the stopping the server via mystandard. It may result in not finishing the import of the backup (faced with that) until the cloud node is stopped.
This applies to the Windows cloud node.

Very important is to Stop the server before restoring to backup. So:
1. login to Mystandard portal
2. Choose server and Stop it (status will changed to Not running)
3. Choose List of Backups (window of Backup folder will open)

4. Choose backup/file you want to import in click on "Reset to backup" button (status will changed to Importing Backup)
5. After status is changed to Not running, you can Start the server (status will changed to Running)
