Could anyone suggest a (free) xml validator (for windows) able to validate large xml files against xsd schema which shows error line number.
Customer has exported SAF-T and it contains some errors, but it's not clear how to find the line with an error.

Found it:
You can use XMLStarlet. That supports validating, and provides error line numbers:

$ xml val -e --xsd file.xsd file.xml
