I cannot find an equivalent for ImportIntoText() for areas. Is there one?

I am importing a tab separated text file and one of the columns may be longer than 255 chars. I need to import it into NotepadVc.
Everything works now, but I figured out I need to use AddFileToArea and then process that area if I need to process a file in a backgound task created with NewPeriodicTask2().

Hi Aldevinas,

Try using AddAreaToTextField(area,RecordVc);

Let me know if this helped you.

I figured out it myself, and yes, you are right:

tstr = GetTabTextFromArea(LineNr,ColNr,a);// a string longer than 255 chars
ColNr = ColNr + 1;
SetAreaZeroSize(area_t);

AddTextToArea(trim(tstr),area_t);
AddAreaToTextField(area_t,NoterDN);//all chars are copied to Noter
//AddToText(tstr,NoterDN); only first 255 chars are copied
